I saw a big difference in my gelding after just two days on Gear Down paste. He was level headed and rode around much quieter. I will be buying some more for my other horse to. Thanks Laney Fowler for hooking me up. LF

My full story on Gizmo is on the daily pellet of gear down, but I’ll say this paste is everything. If you know Giz you know how skittish and know how crazy it is that he loves the paste and actually will steal the tube from me. It’s honestly like that extra little confidence boost and focus he needs to not be scared of everything. With the gear down paste he stands tied even with people loping up on him, trailers flying by, other horses getting loose, and handles situations such as steers in the alleyway that in the past he’d freak over. I can’t say enough good things about gear down, how thankful I am for it and CEP, and how much it has helped Giz just love getting to be a barrel horse.

I was so excited to try this paste but was instantly let down. The first time trying it I noticed it was extremely hard to push out of the tube and had to try extremely hard to push it into my horses tongue to make sure she kept it. I saw absolutely no change and honestly felt my mare was more neurotic than usual. The second day was even more disappointing. Not only was it extremely hard to push out, it isn’t palatable and unless you can really get in your horses mouth to push it down into their cheek or tongue. All my horse had to do was barely open her mouth and it all came falling out in clumps as I tried to give it to her.
I was told by the rep you can also use it as a top dressing on grain, but I feel like that defeats the purpose of a pre performance paste.
All in all, I doubt I’ll even try using the rest of the tube and felt it was a waste of money and am super disappointed.

I use this paste on every horse we haul to rodeos. Calf horses and barrel horses benefit from this. You get the focus on their job without losing any fire or stamina! They love it too!! They literally take the tube from me.

Gear Down paste has helped tremendously on my barrel horses and helps them keep the focus without taking out any run! They try to eat the whole tube when I give it to them, and love the results I see.

I will never run my mare without Gear Down on board. It’s taken her from overly anxious and unfocused to a horse that’s focused and ready to do her job. It doesn’t take away her run, it’s affordable and there aren’t any fillers. I’ve tried other calming pastes and none of them even touch Gear Down’s effectiveness.

The Gear Down paste is a must-have in my barn and on the trailer. We’ve had excellent results! It helps our young horses hauling to new places, helps them not get overwhelmed with all the new scenery like scary barn banners, announcers, busy warm up pens…. They just adjust faster with SO much less anxiety and way more confidence in their job. I also won’t leave home without Gear Down for my busy-pants Gelding. It just helps him focus and think, and it lessens the insane fidgeting antics , which just makes for smoother and faster runs and less anxiety over all!

I live by this paste! Gear down is easy and affordable! The one thing I like about this paste is the horses love it! I constantly keep this stocked up in my trailer! It is my go to as I have a very anxious barrel horse! I give him a dose of this about 6 hours before we run and it takes the edge off but keeps his run!

I love the Gear down paste, it’s a must have in my trailer! I just started using it at the beginning of the year and I’m so glad I did! I used it on my 4 year old mare this summer while rodeoing and it helped her focus with everything going on around her!

This was the first CEP product I tried, I fell in love instantly. The change in my mare was unreal. I now feed Gear Down daily alone with other CEP products!

The gelding is 100% a different animal. We use the paste as he only needs the help at shows. He used to let his nerves get to him and eat away his confidence. With Gear Down, his nerves are not an issue. It took away the anxiety with out taking away the run. Has also helped the other gelding with traveling anxiety!

Gear down helps my horse with occasional anxiety tremendously right before she runs!! Love this stuff!
Lindsey Muggli –
I tried Gear Down for the first time last winter on my 6 yr old mare who is very nervous and anxious. Before Gear Down, her heart would start racing in the back before a run and she would be a nervous wreck, and many times it affected her runs. The very first time I gave her the paste, she was extremely calm. She was like a different horse. Since using it, she went on to win several rounds at every rodeo finals we went too as well as derbies and pro rodeos. It’s been a game changer for my horse and I’m a huge believer in this product.

I use the pellets but love that I can stack the dosage on competition days to help with the extra stress/anxiety that comes with hauling. My horses LOVE it and try to take it from me!

I’ve had my mare on gear down(paste) for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. We used it all 2023 rodeo season. It was her first season and she is still super duper young. I noticed she did perfectly fine at barrel races but rodeos are a whole different ball game and have so much more going on. She would get so nervous, couldn’t sit still around live stock or swinging ropes, grand entries, loud bleachers- you name it… she would side step the whole time and I could feel her shaking through my saddle. Especially at her first few rodeos. I saw a tremendous difference after using it and have given it to her every rodeo since. It is a staple for us and I always have tubes on hand! I also love giving it to her on long hauls to make her ride more relaxing and enjoyable!! ❤️

Gear Down Paste has earned a permanent place in my vet bag, reliably providing my horse with a calming presence approximately three hours before competition, which enables him to stay cool, calm, and focused. I also rely on it for extended travel, and its impact is unmistakable when accidentally forgotten.
Bobbi Jones –
This absolutely worked on my mare. At big races she would get a little nervous. I am not one to say lets just start giving what ever I can in the vein. I just wanted something that would give her confidence and calm her down so she could focus. Did the trick! Try it! You will be glad you did!

I am new to using this product this year, but it’s a quick grab fav. I use it on my barrel horse, knowing it won’t take the run out but help with the before run silly’s.
